28 years in business. 15+ years in digital marketing. 4+ years in AI, so business owners can spend less time writing and more time leading.
I'm Lyndal Lane, founder of AI Marketing Edge in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have a degree in communications and more than 28 years' experience across business, sales and marketing.
I grew up on a farm, which probably explains my fairly practical approach to business: work out what needs doing, find the best way to do it, and don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.
Today, I work across AI, automation, marketing and business systems to find the tasks that are eating up time, the gaps people are missing and the processes that could be doing more of the heavy lifting.
I'm particularly interested in agentic AI and workflows, systems where AI can handle a sequence of tasks, make decisions within defined boundaries and connect different parts of a business together.
For me, that's where AI gets really interesting. It moves beyond producing a piece of content and starts helping with the actual work behind the scenes.
Outside work?
I'm a mother to three adult children, and every Tuesday my partner of 14 years, the kids and I get together for a pub quiz to test just how much useful, and completely useless, knowledge we've collected over the years.
I enjoy yoga, good coffee, reading a psychological thriller in the spa and, when the weather calls for it, a mulled wine.
I'm naturally curious, which is probably why AI suits me so well. There's always something new to test, question, pull apart and figure out how it could actually be useful in a real business.
Practical thinking, straight answers and technology that earns its place in your business.
Tell me what you are trying to do. If I can build it, I will tell you how.
